Delmer's Story: 

Delmer is a very humble little boy. He was born with his eyes crossed. This has caused him to be very self-conscious. Delmer finds it hard to make friends because he has been made fun of so much.

Delmer and his family live in a shack made from discarded tin on the side of a hill. His father works as a brick mason, and his mother does laundry for others in order to try and make a living for their family. Both of these occupations pay very little in Honduras.

Delmer has four siblings. He loves mangos and fried pork. Delmer would love to someday visit a store in the city and buy himself some clothes and a blue soccer ball. He would like to someday be a teacher.
